Shay L. Denning joined Maynes, Bradford, Shipps and Sheftel as an associate attorney in July, 2010 and is now a partner of the firm. Shay’s practice includes banking law, business law, including software licensing, real estate law, utilities law, water law, and general civil litigation.
Before joining the firm, Shay practiced in civil law firms in both Colorado and New Mexico. She also served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Fifth Judicial District in Roswell, New Mexico. While in law school, she served on the Texas Tech Law Review, was awarded the Jurisprudence Award for excellence in Bankruptcy, and participated in Moot Court, Mock Trial, and Client Counseling competitions. Shay also clerked for a local Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee.
Shay obtained her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2005. She graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Agricultural and Applied Economics from Texas Tech University in 2002.
