Ms. Hall graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and from Arizona State University College of Law. She is a member of the Colorado, Arizona and Navajo Nation bar associations and is admitted to practice in various federal and tribal courts. Before joining the firm in 1991, Ms. Hall served for six years as La Plata County Judge and, prior to that, as Chief Judge for the Southern Ute Tribal Court and the Ute Mountain Ute Tribal Court, as well as municipal judge for the towns of Bayfield and Ignacio.
She has taught seminars on Indian law topics for the National Indian Justice Center, the American Indian Lawyer Training Program, Inc., the National American Indian Court Judges Association, the Commission on State-Tribal Relations, and the Ramah Navajo School Board. Ms. Hall also taught Federal Indian Law at Fort Lewis College with another partner in the firm, Thomas H. Shipps. She serves on the Board of Directors of Colorado Legal Services, the Navajo Nation Bar Association Disciplinary Committee and the Navajo Public Defender Commission and Durango Acoustic Music.
Ms. Hall has handled gaming regulation for the Southern Ute Indian Tribe since 1993 and renegotiated the Southern Ute Indian Tribe—State of Colorado Gaming Compact on behalf of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe. She also represents the Southern Ute Indian Tribe in Indian Child Welfare Act cases, as well as providing advice in other areas. She also assists in the representation of the Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation, particularly in the area of employment law and human resources issues.
