Janice C. Sheftel

Janice C. Sheftel began her law practice as an associate attorney with the firm in May 1985, after clerking for several years, and was made a partner in May 1988. She continued in that capacity until January 2011, when she became of counsel for the firm. Janice is a former member of the Colorado Water Conservation Board.

Education

  • Janice received her law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Toledo, College of Law in April 1985. She received her master’s degree in Library Science with honors from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor in 1968, and graduated magna cum laude from Pembroke College in Providence Rhode Island, in 1963, where she majored in American Studies.

Representative Experience

  • Janice represented both private water clients for new and changed water uses and several water conservancy districts and special water districts.
